What is a Team?

A Team is focused on chat, file, and content collaboration and includes:

  • Persistent chat with channels and independent group chats

  • Shared OneNote Notebook
  • SharePoint Team site
  • Planner (with multiple plans)
  • Teams client interface with channels, tabs, and apps

Additionally, using Microsoft Teams, you can schedule Live Events to schedule and stream events, with presenters and panelists, to large online audiences of up to 10,000.
