Objective
This article serves as an introduction to Microsoft Team's capabilities and offerings. For more specific instruction on how to use teams for meetings, including remote classes, we have set up this separate Teams Meetings help guide.
What is a Team?
A Team is focused on chat, file, and content collaboration and includes:
- Persistent chat with channels and independent group chats
- SharePoint Document Library
- Shared OneNote Notebook
- SharePoint Team site
- Planner (with multiple plans)
- Teams client interface with channels, tabs, and apps
- Integrated Skype-like functionality
Additionally, using Microsoft Teams, you can schedule Live Events to schedule and stream events, with presenters and panelists, to large online audiences of up to 10,000.
