Duplicate a Microsoft Form

2.0 Purpose 

The purpose of this knowledge base article is to provide instructions on how to duplicate a Microsoft Form and share it as a template. This process allows users to create a copy of an existing form under their personal account or convert a group form into a personal form. These steps apply to any operating system and require a web browser such as Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.


 

3.0 Instructions

Follow these steps to duplicate a Microsoft Form and share it as a template:

  1. Navigate to https://forms.microsoft.com


 

  1. Locate the form you want to duplicate and select Open.


 

  1. Click the ellipsis (three dots) in the upper-right corner and select Collaborate or Duplicate.

 

  1. Under Share as a template, click the Copy button.

 

  1. Paste the copied link into your browser. On the page that opens, click Duplicate this.


 

  1. The form will now appear under your personal account.

 

4.0 Definitions 

  1. Microsoft Forms: A web-based application for creating surveys, quizzes, and polls.
  2. Template: A pre-designed form that can be duplicated and customized.
  3. Ellipsis Menu: A menu represented by three dots (…) that provides additional options.
