Why are we moving away from Mines network home drive?

As Colorado School of Mines becomes more modern in their approach to technology, there are many options that expand our capabilities we can provide faculty/staff/students. This would be called a modern workplace. It will also reduce the issues that campus has seen with our current network mapped drives.

What makes OneDrive superior to our current network home drive?

When we have a traditional network share, you must be on that network. This means connectivity to campus is required to access the files. There are also a lot of features that come with OneDrive that will help you become more modern in your approach to sharing files/folders within or outside of Colorado School of Mines.
