Reset and Clear Quick Access Pinned Folders in File Explorer [Windows]

Note: When we move away from the Home Drive and disable the share, you may run into some issues with slow Microsoft tools like Outlook and Word. You can reset the links, so they no longer show up as recently accessed file links. This will remove those links, so they never show up on Microsoft 365 apps again.

Shows file explorer with file path

1. Open file explorer and Click/tap on the icon to the left in the address bar, copy and paste %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations into the address bar, and press enter.

Shows app data location

2. Delete (Ctrl+D) the f01b4d95cf55d32a.automaticDestinations-ms file in the AutomaticDestinations folder. (see screenshot above)
