To complete your Okta Verify MFA Enrollment, begin by logging in to my.mines.edu
Click the Colorado School of Mines chevron menu near your name, then click Settings
Scroll down to Security Methods, then click Setup next to Okta Verify:
Follow the prompts to set up Okta Verify
If prompted “Verify” with current DUO setup
Type your current password:
Click “Set up” when prompted here **Users who did not enroll before hard cutoff will start with this step prompted during their next Okta sign in**
In the Okta application, tap the "+" icon upper right, then tap "Organization" under Choose Account Type. When prompted "Add Account from Another Device?" tap Skip. Tap "Yes, Ready to Scan".
Scan the QR Code in the Okta Verify Application, and setup will complete.
*Biometrics is optional. Essentially instead of a push notifications “Yes or No” prompt, Okta will ask for your phone’s biometrics that are set up.
Depending on the phone and software, biometrics could be a fingerprint or a face scan unlock.
