- To set up your Okta Verify MFA, begin by logging in to my.mines.edu
- Click the Colorado School of Mines chevron menu near your name, then click Settings.
- Scroll down to Security Methods, then click Setup next to Okta Verify.
- Follow the prompts to set up Okta Verify. If prompted, click the Verify button.
- Type your current password.
- Click Set up when prompted.
- If you haven't aleady, download and open the Okta Verify application (available for download from your phone's app store), tap the + icon upper right, then tap Organization under Choose Account Type. When prompted Add Account from Another Device? tap Skip. Tap Yes, Ready to Scan.
- Scan the QR Code in the Okta Verify Application, and setup will complete.
*Biometrics is optional. Essentially instead of a push notifications “Yes or No” prompt, Okta will ask for your phone’s biometrics that are set up.
Depending on the phone and software, biometrics could be a fingerprint or a face scan unlock.
