Fix Microsoft 365 Sign-In Loop or Login Errors

2.0 Purpose 

This article explains how to resolve sign-in issues and “death loops” when accessing Microsoft 365 (M365) apps such as Outlook and Teams on Windows devices. These steps help fix corrupted account sign-ins that cause infinite login loops or error messages like “Something went wrong.”


 

3.0 Instructions

If you encounter an error message like this one, please follow the next steps:

  1. Open Command Prompt and type dsregcmd /cleanupaccounts

  1. Press enter to restart your computer.
  2. Go to your computer Settings
  3. Click Accounts on the left-hand menu, then select Access work or school. Select the arrow next to the work or school account that shows and disconnect the account.

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook and sign in with your Mines email and password.
