2.0 Purpose

The purpose of this knowledge base article is to provide instructions on how to share Microsoft Forms created within a Microsoft Teams group with individuals outside of that team. These steps apply to any device using a modern web browser such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox.

3.0 Instructions

  1. Navigate to Microsoft Forms: https://forms.microsoft.com/. You will see a list of forms, including personal forms and forms created within Teams (Personal forms will display your name, while Team forms will show the Team name).

  2. Locate the Teams form you want to share and click the three ellipses (…) next to the form name and select Open.

1. Click Collect Responses. A window will pop up with sharing options. Choose the appropriate sharing option and copy the link to send it to the individuals you want to collect responses from.

  1. Give others the ability to collaborate or duplicate the form by clicking the three ellipses (…) in the top-right corner of any form. You'll have two choices:

    1. Collaborate: Grants editing access to others.

    2. Duplicate: Creates a personal copy of the form, which you can then move to another Team or Group.
