Service Description

This service provides researchers with access to cloud computing resources on AWS or GCP for research activities such as data analysis, machine learning, high-performance computing, and more. Additionally, it offers comprehensive cloud support, assisting researchers in selecting appropriate cloud services, configuring cloud environments, troubleshooting cloud-related issues, and ensuring compliance with university policies and security standards.

Service Levels

Account Provisioning:  5 business days with support from Procurement

Support Response Times:  24-hour response time to urgent requests

Requirements

 

Project Justification: A brief description of the research project and how cloud resources will be utilized.

Resource Requirements: Estimated resource needs (e.g., number of virtual machines, storage capacity, bandwidth).

Budget Information: Information on available funding sources and budget constraints.  This information will be provided to the Procurement team to formalize a Purchase Order. 

Service Charges

Cloud Account Fees: May vary depending on the chosen cloud provider and resource usage.

Data Transfer Costs: Costs associated with data transfer to and from the cloud.
