Service Description
Use this service to request to have a poster or other large-format document printed using one of IT's large format poster plotter printers located at the IT Service Desk.
Important:
- 48 hour notice/process time for poster printing is required. More time is needed for large batch jobs like Capstones and Symposiums.
- Printing services are Monday-Friday (no weekends).
- The resolution of the printers is 2400×1200 dpi. If you require color matching or greater detail prints, we recommend working with a professional print services company such as
AlphaGraphics or
FedEx (found in my.mines.edu).

Service Levels
Service is limited by availability, which is reduced considerably during busy periods, such as finals. Please contact the IT Service Desk directly to schedule your print in advance or submit a request using the service request form on this page.
- Hours of availability: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. M-Th / 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m Fridays (No Poster Printing on Weekends).
- Only “Satin” finish (a blending of Glossy and Matte) is available.
- Non-UV ink is being used, which may result in fading when exposed to sunlight or fluorescent lighting.
- Paper is available in 42”, 36” and 24” widths.
- Once printed, the ink requires some time to dry before the posters can be taken away.
Requirements
- Payment must be made using BlasterPrint funds or through a Department ISSV form.
- The printer can only be operated by IT personnel.
Service Charges
$1/inch on the longest side of the print.

Picking Up Your Poster
You will be notified via your ticket request when your poster is ready for pickup, posters can be picked up from the IT Service Desk in CTLM 156A.
