New Project Request

Point of Contact

How can we help you?
Please provide details regarding your request? Do you have a solution defined or do you need support identifying a solution?
[converting from email]
I am an emeritus professor. I still use my inside mines home page and I have a large number of interconnected pages that I believe people still use though I do not have statistics for page views. I started building the pages in the 1990s writing directly in html. Past students have asked if I plan to take the pages down and I have always said that they would be there until I die, but now, if I understand correctly, they will be gone on Feb 28.

When Mines changed to word press I diligently attended the training classes and concluded it would be an impossible task to convert the pages because of their complexity and interconnectedness. The IT staff agreed and so they "grandfathered" my pages in.

In particular, the pages I would like to preserve are in the following location with the index file pointing entirely to files under the 583 folder. As you might surmise, it was a lot of work to write these directly in html.

https://inside.mines.edu/~epoeter/583/index.shtml

Is there any possibility that we can keep this small part of inside mines? Could we at least keep the folder
https://inside.mines.edu/~epoeter/583? Or mount it as is at another location on the mines website with a redirect from the old pages? I could point to it from another mines page - we would not have to keep my home page.

I have a zip of the entire set of pages under https://inside.mines.edu/~epoeter/ from Jan of 2019 but I have updated a few pages since then including making an update just this morning. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would create a zip of the current file under https://inside.mines.edu/~epoeter/ and point me to where I can download it.

Thank you for considering my request
