Any additional information about this request that you would like to include?Who does this project help? What happens if this project is not completed?
Although the completion date is listed as February 2021, the form and workflow must be completed by December 2020 to allow faculty to begin their narratives. The project extends through February to allow oversight of the workflow functioning, as well as change management (communication, training, etc.).
Description
Problem Statement/Business Case:
Academic Affairs is currently using a fillable pdf for the Faculty Evaluation and Narrative form. There is a high volume of usability issues with the current Faculty Evaluation form, specifically for Mac users, resulting in the increased need for troubleshooting and ultimately printing/signing/scanning of the digital form. This issue is time sensitive as evaluations are done on a calendar year and faculty begin their assessments in December. In addition to the inadequate usability of the form, the routing process for review/approval is highly email intensive.
Purpose/Goal:
The purpose of this project is to create a dynamic Unity Form for the Academic Faculty Evaluation Process, where faculty can input and submit their narrative and self-assessment for annual review. Functionality will be included to allow for supplemental materials to be uploaded into OnBase and linked to the narrative (i.e. Faculty Data Report). Additionally, an OnBase Workflow will be created to automate routing for review and approval by Department Heads and Deans. Finally, Banner integration opportunities will be explored to assist in reducing manual, data entry that can lead to errors in workflow routing.
