Requirements
The process needs to identify financial aid information for the student pertaining to the students financial aid award, account balance and refund information each semester. The information must be transmitted to Barnes and Noble within 48 hours of the start of each term in order for the student to be able to purchase books electronically using an online book voucher system.

The file developed will need to be FTP’d to the designated Barnes and Noble server for processing and to recognize the student is eligible to receive a book voucher based on refund information within the data transferred.

Description

The Mines’ Financial Aid office and Mines’ bookstore would like to automate the process of students using their financial aid money to purchase books and supplies from Barnes and Noble prior to the start of each term. The current process is paper driven requiring a student to take a paper voucher from the Bursar’s office to the Financial Aid office and then to the bookstore.
