Reset and Clear Quick Access Pinned Folders in File Explorer [Windows]

Summary

As we transition from Home Drive (Network Drive) to Onedrive and removing permissions to the older Home Drive, we may run into some issues with previous links being broken within out Microsoft 365 applications. This will help resolving the issue.

Body

After moving your files from your home drive or department drive to either OneDrive, Teams, or Sharepoint, you may notice that Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc) are operating slowly. This article has instructions to help you fix that issue.

 

1. Open file explorer and click or tap on the icon to the left in the address bar. Copy and paste %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations into the address bar, and press enter.

2. Delete (Ctrl+D) the f01b4d95cf55d32a.automaticDestinations-ms file in the AutomaticDestinations folder. Shows app data location
