Connect to Campus Wi-Fi

Mines is in the middle of a campus-wide Network Modernization Project, which means you’ll see multiple Wi-Fi networks across campus. Use the guide below to figure out which network to use and when, dependent on your building and device. You’ll find the instructions to connect to any of these networks at it.mines.edu/getting-started

  • Mines: Use in all campus buildings that have been upgraded.
  • Mines-Legacy: Use in buildings that haven’t been upgraded yet.
  • Eduroam: Use at Mines and at other participating institutions and organizations while traveling. This network is great for research travel and conference visits.
  • Mines-Guest: For short-term visitor use. (Not recommended for Mines faculty)

Need to Use Virtual Private Network (VPN)?

Microsoft OneDrive

Faculty receive 5 TB of cloud storage through OneDrive. It’s the recommended solution for securely backing up files, replacing USB drives or personal cloud accounts, and provides easy access from anywhere.

Microsoft Teams & SharePoint

Microsoft Teams and SharePoint offer shared cloud storage and collaboration tools for departments, research groups, and project teams. Use them to manage documents, streamline communication, and work together more effectively.

MediaSpace

MediaSpace is a comprehensive video platform that enhances teaching and learning experiences by providing tools for creating, managing, and sharing multimedia content.
