Change permissions and settings in Microsoft Teams

  • On the left menu of the Microsoft Teams app, click on the Teams tab

  • Find the Microsoft Team you want to make changes to or change permissions in. Click on the click 3 dots.

  • Select manage team.

  • You should see the following menu options: members, channels, analytics, apps, tags (these options are only available for Microsoft Teams, not a channel within a Microsoft Team). If you are an owner of a Microsoft Team, you'll see and additional settings option in the menu. 
     
  • In the members menu tab you will be able to add or remove members, change owners or mute members.

  • When you select the channels menu tab, you can check any deleted items, view when the item was deleted, restore the item.

  • If you are an owner of a Microsoft Team, then you can select the settings menu tab. There, you're able to change the Microsoft Team name, and the Team picture.

  • If you scroll further you'll be able to adjust the following settings: member permissions, guest permissions, @ mentions, team code, fun stuff, tags, and team expiration.
