Accessibility Request

Service Description

Mines is committed to providing electronic and information technology (EIT) resources that are accessible for all members of our community and the public, including individuals with disabilities and those with diverse learning needs. If you find digital content or software provided by the Colorado School of Mines that is not accessible, please contact us so that we can work to ensure equally effective means of accessing the technology for all users.

Remediation is the process of making fixes to digital content so that it is considered accessible according to laws, standards, or other benchmarks. Though Mines strives to create and acquire Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) that is accessible to a broad range of users, the variety of materials available at Mines means that not all content may initially be accessible. Types of digital content that may require remediation include PDFs, images, audio/visual, and multimedia materials. Mines ITS can help with in-house or vender-supported remediation of digital content for people with disabilities.
