Step-by-Step Instructions
Requesting a Live Stream Entry
Before you begin, you’ll need a live stream entry in MediaSpace. Follow these steps to request one:
- Visit the Mines HelpCenter.
- Submit a MediaSpace Service Request.
- In the request, specify the following:
- Purpose of the live stream.
- Date and time of the event.
- Any additional details, such as target audience or expected duration.
- Wait for the MediaSpace admin to create the live stream entry and provide you with the Primary URL and Stream Name.
Once you have the live stream details, proceed with the setup for OBS or Zoom.

Install OBS Studio
- Download OBS Studio for your operating system.
- Install OBS by following the on-screen instructions.
- Launch OBS Studio.

- Open OBS Studio.
- Go to File > Settings.
- Select the Stream tab and configure:"
- Service: Choose "Custom."
- Server: Paste the Primary URL provided by the MediaSpace admin.
- Stream Key: Enter the Stream Name provided by the MediaSpace admin.
- Click OK to save.
Set Up Scenes and Sources
- Add scenes and sources in OBS Studio for your stream. Examples include:
- Screen sharing.
- Camera feed.
- Images or presentations.
