Golden Software Strater

Vendor: Golden Software.

Supported Operating Systems:  Microsoft Windows, only.

General Description: Strater is a subsurface visualization software for geoscientists and engineers to create well logs, borehole models, and cross-sections from raw data.
*Note: Golden Software will be retiring the Strater software beginning December 3rd, 2025. Strater will not receive updates, fixes, or new features.*

Availability: This product is installed in all IT-managed Windows labs.

Scope of License: Campus-wide educational site license, available for installation on Mines-owned and campus-located machines for use by faculty, staff and students performing academic work. Usage in funded research requires a purchased license. No licenses available for personal installation.

Licensing Mechanism: Licensing is controlled by product key.
