Record a Mines Telephone Voicemail Greeting

1. To access the voicemail system from your campus telephone

  • Log into the voicemail system by dialing 2100, or by pressing the “Messages” button on the phone (if available)
    • Enter your phone PIN number and then press #

2. To access the voicemail system from any campus telephone

  • Log into the voicemail system by dialing 2100, or by pressing the “Messages” button on the phone (if available)
    • Press # when the system answers, then enter your Mines 4-digit extension
    • Enter your phone PIN number and then press #

3. To access voicemail from an off-campus telephone or cell phone

  • Log into the voicemail system by dialing 303-384-2100
    • Press # when the system answers, then enter your Mines 4-digit extension
    • Enter your phone PIN number and then press #

If you cannot remember your phone PIN number, please email telecom@mines.edu for a PIN reset.

Once you are logged into the voicemail system, you will be in the main menu.

  1. Press 5 to reach the "Personal Options" menu
  2. Once you are in the Personal Options menu:
    1. Press 1 to record a custom voicemail greeting with your voice
      1. Record the new greeting then press #
      2. Press 1 to listen to the greeting (optional)
      3. Press 2 to use the greeting and go back to the Personal options menu
    2. Press 2 to record your name (optional)
      1. Record your name then press #
      2. Press 1 to listen to your name (optional)
      3. Press 2 to use the recorded name and go back to the Personal Options menu
    3. Press 3 to select the greeting you want to play when someone reaches your voicemail
      1. Press 1 to listen to the greetings you have recorded
      2. Press 2 to select the custom greeting you recorded 
      3. Press 1 to confirm your voicemail selection. The system will tell you the active greeting was set successfully.

Once you are finished with your recordings and making your selection, you may hang up.
