MediaSpace: Analytics Basic Access

Introduction

MediaSpace Analytics provides comprehensive insights into media performance and user engagement across the Kaltura platform. It offers detailed metrics and visualizations on plays, viewer technology, engagement levels, and more, enabling content creators and administrators to make data-driven decisions. By leveraging MediaSpace Analytics, users can optimize content delivery, enhance viewer experience, and strategically plan media initiatives.

Canvas

My Media Analytics

1. Log In to Canvas:
   • Open your web browser and log into my.mines.edu with your Mines credentials.
   • Navigate to the Canvas tile within my.mines.edu or use the url, canvas.mines.edu.
2. Navigate to My Media:
   • Navigate to My Media using the Global Navigation panel.
3. View Analytics
   • Locate the View Analytics button (graph icon) near the top-right corner of the video row.
   • Additionally, simple video analytics are available near the bottom of the video row, showing number of likes, views, and comments.

Course Gallery Analytics

1. Log In to Canvas:
   • Open your web browser and log into my.mines.edu with your Mines credentials.
   • Navigate to the Canvas tile within my.mines.edu or use the url, canvas.mines.edu.
2. Navigate to Your Course:
   • From your Canvas dashboard, select the course where you want to create a media gallery.
3. Access MediaSpace:
   • In the course navigation menu on the left, look for Course Media link.
   • Click on Course Media to open the Media Gallery for the course.
4. View Analytics
   • Select the Channel Actions dropdown button (icon with three horizontal bars) in the top-right corner.
   • Click on Analytics.
   • Additionally, simple video analytics are available scrolling over the video preview, showing number of likes, views, and comments.

MediaSpace

My Media

Access MediaSpace

1. Log in to MediaSpace:
   • Open your web browser and log into my.mines.edu with your Mines credentials.
   • Navigate to the MediaSpace tile within my.mines.edu or use the url, mediaspace.mines.edu.

Navigate to My Media

2. Go to My Media:
   • Click on My Media from your Profile Image to access your My Media library.

Navigate to Video Analytics

2. Open Analytics:
   • Within My Media, click on the Analytics (graph icon) button next to the video you are evaluating.

My Channel

Access MediaSpace

1. Log in to MediaSpace:
   • Open your web browser and log into my.mines.edu with your Mines credentials.
   • Navigate to the MediaSpace tile within my.mines.edu or use the url, mediaspace.mines.edu.

Navigate to Channel

2. Go to your Channel:
   • Click on Channels from the main navigation to access your channel.
   • Next, click on the specific channel you wish to analyze.

2. Open Analytics:
   • Click on the Actions drop-down menu, followed by Analytics.
