Dictation, Speech-to-Text, and Speech Recognition Software

Dictation, also known as speech-to-text or speech recognition, is available without additional cost in many of the platforms provided at Mines. Dictation software can be helpful for anyone who needs a hands-free way to generate text or control their device.

Dictation can also be used as assistive technology for people with physical disabilities or injuries who cannot use a keyboard, and for people with cognitive or learning disabilities who use speech instead of typing or writing.
