More Information

Capital assets are defined as tangible equipment or software, costing more than $5,000 and in service for greater than one year.  Capital assets are tagged with an Asset ID number (typically with a sticker) and are depreciated and inventoried annually.

Maintaining inventory of capital equipment and software relies on having up to date responsible department and location detail.  Please notify the Controller’s Office of any capital equipment location updates and/or transfers between departments.
