Getting started with iClicker Events at Mines
iClicker Events is designed for anonymous polling in workshops, meetings, and other events that are not Mines courses. Registration with an account is not required for participants in iClicker Events. If you want to use iClicker to measure student learning, give practice opportunities, and track attendance in Mines courses with enrolled students, check out the link to the iClicker page here.
As of Fall 2024 Mines has a site license for iClicker Events which is free to use for all Mines faculty, staff, and students.
Install iClicker Cloud Desktop Software
To begin, instructors will need to download and install iClicker Cloud desktop software. The desktop software is the hub for running synchronous polling during events. The iClicker Cloud website is a hub for exploring results after an event is concluded.
- All campus podium computers have this software installed and updated. If instructors are planning to teach from the Mines podium computer, they should log into the iClicker Cloud desktop software after logging into the podium computer.
- Mines instructors who choose to teach from their own personal laptop computers will need to install iClicker Cloud desktop software on their laptop.

Create an iClicker Cloud Instructor Account
Create an iClicker Cloud Instructor Account either in the iClicker Cloud desktop software or on the iClicker Cloud website. Be sure to select "Sign in through your campus portal" at the bottom of the sign-in page. You will use your Mines email to create an account or link to your previous account.
