Overview
This article is intended for student employees who work in multiple job position on campus. This article will demonstrate how to review timesheets and payslips for accuracy.
Log in to Workday
Visit my.mines.edu and log in with your Mines username and password.
Navigate to the Workday tile and click on it to access Workday.
Alternatively, you can search for “Workday” in the search field at the top of the page.
View Payslips
To begin, click on your Profile Picture in the upper right corner of Workday.
Next, click on the View Profile button.
From here, go to Pay.
In the row of tabs found at the top of the Pay screen, click on Payslips.
Within this subsection, you can browse by Pay Period.
Once you've found the specific pay period you are looking for, click the View button on that row.
Scroll down to the Earnings section to review your hours worked per job position during that pay period. Hours worked, Rate of pay, Amount earned per position, and in Total earned will be listed here.
Add the Time App
The Time app is an incredibly helpful tool but it may not be a default option within your Main Menu. To add the Time app, follow these steps:
Go to the Workday Main Menu, in the upper left corner.
Click on the Add Apps Button.
Search for the word, Time.
Find the Time app in list of search results and click the plus (+) icon to add the app to your Main Menu.
Return to the Main Menu.
Checking Previous Timesheets
Click on the Time app within your Main Menu.
Within the Time app click on the Select Week button.
Enter a Date from with the week or pay period you are interested in viewing and then click OK.
Within the Calendar, you will be able to see Dates and Times in which you worked as well as how many Hours you were checked in for. The Position Number for your job(s) will also be listed here. This information will show you exactly when you worked and which position you were checked in as during those hours.
If you feel as though there are mistakes on your payslip regarding hours worked per job position, please contact your manager(s) to resolve these issues. You can also contact the MAPS directly for questions and resolution. Contact info for MAPS is available at: maps.mines.edu.
