The following Terms and Conditions govern the use of loaner laptops provided by the Colorado School of Mines in the Laptop Kiosk machines. Kiosks are located in Arthur Lakes Library LB270 area and Brown West next to the piano. All patrons using a laptop from the kiosk machines and interacting with the kiosk machines agree to the Terms and Conditions.

** PLEASE NOTE - IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBLITY TO SANITIZE THE LAPTOP BEFORE USE **
I agree to take proper care of the kiosk device.
I agree to keep the kiosk device with me for the entire time I am using it.
I agree to return the device to the kiosk from where it was checked out (ie Library return to Library, Brown West return to Brown West).
I agree that before using the laptop, after checking it out I am responsible to sanitize the keyboard, trackpad, and laptop using the paper towel dispenser and bottle of sanitizer. Spray the paper towel and wipe down the device, do not spray directly on the laptop.
I agree not to let anyone else use the kiosk device.
I understand that I am responsible for the loss of or damage to the kiosk device.
I agree to return the device to the kiosk when my time of use is up.
I understand that the kiosk device can only be used on Mines property and cannot be taken off campus.
I understand that the kiosk device can be used for up to 3 hours, per day.
I understand that the kiosk device must be returned to the kiosk 15 minutes before the library or building closes.
I understand that documents or other work created must be saved to my OneDrive (sign in with username@mines.edu), or an external storage device such as a flash drive.
I understand that all files and downloads will be deleted when the kiosk device is rebooted.
I agree to follow all policies and procedures related to equipment use at the Colorado School of Mines. Vandalizing, abusing or stealing materials or equipment is prohibited under the Colorado School of Mines "Guidelines for Use" and may result in suspension of kiosk checkout privileges. In addition, patrons who steal, vandalize or abuse a device may be reported to law enforcement authorities and be subject to criminal and/or civil penalties.
