The Solution

If you are a Mines employee and want to use a software title on the approved Software Inventory, submit a Software Install Request

If you are a Mines employee and want to use a new software title on a Mines computer or device, you may use the Software Review Request to begin the submission process.
 

Background: Why is this Information Required?

  • Software that meets the business need may already exist on campus and can be identified and implemented more quickly.
  • Appropriate Colorado OIT guidelines, as well as state and federal accessibility laws, are being met.
  • Security and privacy risks must be identified and mitigated for students and employees.
  • Technology resources must be available and sufficient.
  • Support for campus technology must be ensured to be provided.

The software review process is a necessary component for our organization to have uniformity and continuity, and ensure the security and data protection of Mines students and employees.
