Access MediaSpace

1. Log in to MediaSpace:
   • Open your web browser and log into my.mines.edu with your Mines credentials.
   • Navigate to the MediaSpace tile within my.mines.edu or use the url, mediaspace.mines.edu.
     

MediaSpace Home Page

1. Home Page Overview:
   • Upon logging in, you will be directed to the MediaSpace home page.
   • This page displays featured videos, categories, and search functionality.

MediaSpace Home Button

1. Return to the MediaSpace Home Page
   • Click on Colorado School of Mines logo in the navigation menu to return to the MediaSpace home page.

Mines MediaSpace

1. Access School My MediaSpace
   • Click on My MediaSpace in the navigation menu to view your video content.
     

Galleries

1. Access Galleries:
   • Click on Academics or Campus Offices tab in the navigation menu to view video content from various departments at Mines.
     
   • Campus offices tab.
     
   • Note:  If you would like your department to be listed within either of these tabs, please open a Support ticket to begin the process.

Channels

1. Access My Channels:
   • Click on Channels in the navigation menu to view the channels you are a member of or have created.
     

Support

1. Access Support:
   • Click on Support in the navigation menu to view help articles for MediaSpace or open a support ticket..
     

+ Add New Button

1. Access Add New Options:
   • Click on the +Add New button to reveal options for creating and uploading content.
     
2. Options:
   • Media Upload: Upload media files from your device.
   • Express Capture: Record media directly from your browser.
   • YouTube: Embed YouTube videos into MediaSpace.
   • Interactive Video: Create interactive video experiences.
   • Kaltura Capture: Use the Kaltura Capture application to record your screen and webcam.
   • Video Quiz: Create interactive video quizzes.

Search

1. Use the Search Bar:
   • Enter keywords related to the media you are looking for in the search bar.
     

 

Featured Content

 

The MediaSpace homepage displays a selection of featured content curated by the institution.

1. Most Viewed
   • A current list of Mines videos with the most viewership.
2. Featured Departments
   • Departments with featured content will be featured on the homepage on a rotating basis.

Highlights

A carousel of highlighted content is present on the homepage, showcasing important or popular Mines videos.

1. Next and Previous Buttons:
   • Click the Next and Previous buttons to cycle through content.
2. See All Button:
   • Click the See All button to view a complete list of highlighted content.
