The Time app is an incredibly helpful tool but it may not be a default option within your Main Menu.  To add the Time app, follow these steps:

Go to the Workday Main Menu, in the upper left corner.

Checking In & Out with the Correct Job Role

To Check In for your shift, start by clicking the Check In button within the Time app.

Enter the Time Type as Worked Time.

In the Position drop-down menu, select the position you are checking In for.  Afterwards, click OK.

Note: It is incredibly important to make sure you are checking in for the correct job, each and every time.  Checking in for the wrong job on the wrong days or for the wrong hours will create administrative issues that may delay your next pay check.

Next, you will be presented with a confirmation screen.  Double-check the information on this screen and if everything looks correct, click Done.

Finding Your Position Number

If you are struggling to determine which position number pertains to the job you are currently checking in for, there are ways to figure out that information.

To begin finding this info, click on your Profile Picture in the upper right corner of Workday.

Next, click on the View Profile button.

In the upper left area of your Profile, just underneath your name, you will see your currently listed job position and a small Switch (Arrow) icon to the right of that.

Click the Switch (Arrow) icon to display a drop down menu which you can use to select a different one of your job positions.  Swapping positions within Workday will enable you to access information and business processes within Workday related to that specific role.

A simple way to figure out what one of your specific positions is, if you are unsure, is to click on the Team icon within your Profile to display your Org Chart.  From there, you can check to see who your manager is for that particular position.

Additionally, you can go to your Job tab within your Profile and browse through the sub categories in order to determine which of your student positions is which.

Finally, if you are unsure about which position number relates to which job within Workday, you can always ask your manager to clarify that information.
