Checking In

If you are clocking in to Workday, there are two primary ways you can do so.  The first method is by typing in Time into the Workday search field.  Afterwards, select Enter My Time.

The other way you can clock in is by navigating to your main menu in the upper left corner and selecting Time.

On the next screen, you will see a Check In and Check Out button.  Click Check In.

On the following screen, it will show you the date and time you are checking in at.
Note: Workday does not round your time to the nearest 15 minutes.  The exact time you check in at is the exact time that will be logged.

Click on Time Type and then Time Entry Codes and select Worked Time.

No other information is required, but you may add any relevant optional information you like at the bottom of the page.

Once you verify that everything is correct, you can click OK to officially check in.

Finally you will be presented with a small window which will show your specific check in date and time.  Hit Done to close the window.

Checking Out

When you are ready to check out, navigate back to Enter My Time, the same way you did when you checked in.  Click on the Check Out button.

On the following screen, it will show you the date and time you are checking out at.
Note: Workday does not round your time to the nearest 15 minutes.  The exact time you check out at is the exact time that will be logged.

Select Meal if your are checking out for your break.

Select Out if you are checking out for the end of your shift.

Finally you will be presented with a small window which will show your specific check out date and time.  Hit Done to close the window.

If you check out for a meal, you will need to check back in for the second part of your shift as well as eventually check out at the end of your day.
