Department file shares, workstations and printers are usually restricted to employees or users with a specific need for that resource. This access is managed through organizational groups. New access is usually required for new employees or new transfers into a department. Requests to remove access is appropriate when an individuals job duties change and they no longer require, or should have, access to certain resources.
