Description
The supervisor field in the csm_employee_position_active and csm_employee_position_history materialized views pull the supervisor person_uid from the position (aka Banner jobs) table. Mines (HR then MAPS) was populating the supervisor position and supervisor person_uid fields in the jobs screen in Banner. A couple of years ago, Mines made the business decision to only populate the supervisor position to save time updating the supervisor person_uid. The SQL code that updates the csm_employee_position_active and csm_employee_position_history were built using the supervisor person_uid so people hired in the last few years do not have a supervisor in these materialized views. This project will update the code to pull the supervisor from the supervisor position.
Phil needs a list of supervisors to go with the Wellness app that is going live on Monday. Using the CSM Employee Position Active view I pulled a list of supervisors, and the employees they supervise. However, I have about 468 people that don't have a supervisor, but there is a position listed as the supervisor position number. As I looked at those, many of those position numbers have active employees that should be populated but for some reason are not. Can we take a look at the view and try to figure out why it isn't including these folks?
