Banner / New Integration or Change Request
Requirements
Per Scott Harper, the initial stage on the Graduate Slate integration would involve the following data transfers:
- Slate to Banner: Decision data inserted into SAADCRV (analogous to SZPADSD)
- Slate to Banner: Test data inserted into SOATEST (analogous to SZPADST)
- Banner to Slate: Person level data used to match in Slate and add CWID & PIDM
- Banner to Slate: Application level data used to match in Slate and add application number, priority, residency to a specific application.
- (added 4/6/20) We would like to be able to insert current undergraduate student data into Grad Slate as graduate prospects, including their current undergraduate GPA. I think we will want to add this as a separate data transfer process. Since the relevant data won’t typically be updated but once a semester, it would probably be an infrequent transfer (it maybe is best to simply write a Cognos report and set a calendar reminder to run it after each semester). Perhaps some additional brainstorming would be necessary to decide the best solution. We can, and likely will import all admitted undergraduate students from UG Slate into GR Slate as prospects. However, because that data is frozen at the time of admission, we won’t have updated contact information, and more importantly we won’t have current grades – we are planning to market a guaranteed admission to non-thesis programs if a student has >= 3.0 GPA.
The analogous Banner to Slate files mentioned above are not included in the attached documentation; I do not have a copy of that documentation on hand.
