If you have downloaded an eduroam profile from the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT,
cat.eduroam.org), please be aware that the configuration is currently
NOT compatible with Mines' eduroam configuration and you'll need to uninstall the configuration provided by CAT to proceed.

Connect to the eduroam wireless network at Colorado School of Mines, and any participating institution, by entering your full mines.edu email address (e.g. username@mines.edu) and your Mines password.
Note: If you enter your username instead of your full e-mail address, eduroam will NOT allow you to connect.

Device Compatibility
Some devices may not support connecting to eduroam, which requires both a username (your full Mines e-mail address) and a password for authentication. If your device isn't compatible, try connecting to the 'Mines' wireless network by following the instructions here.
Using Ethernet in Mines Residence Buildings
To connect via Ethernet in Mines residence halls, you will need to register your device with Netreg. Follow the registration steps here.
Troubleshooting Connection Issues After Username or Password Changes
If you've recently changed your Mines password or updated your username to your email address, you might encounter issues reconneting to eduroam due to cached login information. Some devices may fail to reconnect to eduroam and automatically switch to the next available network without you realizing.
To resolve this:
- FORGET the eduroam network on your device.
- Reconnect using your updated email and password credentials.
Forgetting and Reconnecting to eduroam on Windows 11:
- Click on the wireless icon in the menu on the bottom right corner of your screen. Then, click to manage wifi settings.
- Find the eduroam wireless network and right click on it.
- Click forget.

- Click on the eduroam wireless network and click the connect button.
- Put in your full mines.edu email address (e.g. username@mines.edu) and your Mines password and click the ok button.

Forgetting and Reconnecting to eduroam on MAC:
NOTE
If you have downloaded an eduroam profile from the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT,
cat.eduroam.org), you will need to remove the eduroam configuration profile to be able to forget the network -- to do so, launch System Settings, and search for profiles, select the eduroam profile and click the "-" button:

- Click on the wireless icon in the menubar.
- Click on "Wi-Fi Settings..." at the bottom of the menu:

- Find the eduroam Known Network and click the circle with the three dots on it.
- Click "Forget This Network..."

(If "Forget This Network..." is dimmed out and unable to be clicked, check for a CAT profile by following the instructions at the beginning of this session, click here to go there now.)
- Click again on the wireless icon in the menu bar
- Click again on the eduroam wireless network and click the connect button.
- Put in your full mines.edu email address (e.g. username@mines.edu) and your Mines password and click the ok button.

- A Verify Certificate window may pop up, Click the continue button.
