BlasterCard System Modernization and Summer 2026 Office Closures

The Colorado School of Mines is upgrading the BlasterCard system following this year’s commencement. This modernization project requires temporary office closures and service outages. Please review the dates and impacts below to ensure you have the access you need for the summer term.

Colorado School of Mines is upgrading the BlasterCard system following the 2026 commencement. This modernization project requires temporary office closures and service outages. Please review the dates and impacts below to ensure you have the access you need for the summer term.

BlasterCard Office Closure Schedule

The BlasterCard office will be closed to the public from May 14 through June 3.

• May 13 (3:00 PM): Card printing and photo uploads will pause; the office will close.

• May 14 – June 3: Office CLOSED for system upgrades.  Please contact the BlasterCard office (blastercard@mines.edu) for any card emergencies.

• June 4 – June 5: Office open from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

• June 8: Summer hours begin (Walk-ins: Monday – Thursday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM; Closed Fridays).

Note: Your current BlasterCard will continue to provide building access throughout these upgrades.

Dining and Meal Plan Outages

Payment systems will undergo maintenance from May 16 – May 31. During this time:

1. Meal plans cannot be accessed via BlasterCard.

2. Residence Life will provide vouchers to students moving in during this window to ensure continued dining access.

3. Summer Agate Plans will become available starting June 1.

Available Dining Locations:

• Starbucks & Elements: Only retail food venues open during the outage.

• Mines Market: Open for dinner only for residents in Residence Hall Communities.
