Body
As part of Mines’s effort to align with state and federal accessibility laws, a new accessibility scanner will be available in Canvas on August 18th. This tool can automatically scan your course content to identify accessibility issues, offer a built-in guide to assist in making corrections, track your progress via a course dashboard and allow students and instructors to convert files into alternative formats.
By default, the dashboard is disabled in your Canvas navigation menu. To enable the dashboard:
- Navigate to your desired course in Canvas.
- Select Settings at the bottom-left of the course navigation menu.
- Select the Navigation tab up top.
- Find the "Pope Tech Accessibility" application and enable it.
