Canvas integrations are also known as Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI). LTI is an integration standard that allows third-party tools to connect with learning management systems such as Canvas.
The use and installation of a Canvas LTI must first be approved through our Software Review. Software Reviews for LTIs must be submitted at least eight weeks prior to the start of the term you would like to use them in.
If requesting an application to be installed in Canvas, review the inventory of Canvas LTI Plugins [forthcoming] to compare existing options.
Please note: LTIs must be compatible with the Mines Canvas Test environment. (Please confirm with the vendor they can accommodate this before submitting a Software Review request.) If a Canvas Test installation is unavailable, the LTI will be incompatible with Mines IT security protocol and not approved for installation in Canvas.
Members of the Mines IT organization assess software and LTIs for the items listed below. This process can take up to 4 weeks.
