Enable Apporto Desktops in Canvas Course

Provides steps on how to enable the Windows VDI Desktop application within a Canvas Course

Prerequisite

• Before enabling the desktop in a Canvas course, determine which desktop application that needs to be enabled. Each desktop applications has access to different tools. View this chart to determine which desktop application you need to enable in Canvas.

Step by Step Instructions

Navigate to the Course Settings Page

• Select Settings from the lefthand navigation menu in your course. It will be the last option in the menu.

 

 

Update Course Navigation Menu

• Click on the Navigation tab 

• Scroll down the page to locate the appropriate desktop application. (List of applications is available by clicking this hyperlink.)
• Enable the course page by clicking the three dots in the item box. Select Enable from the options that appear in the pop-up,

• Click the blue Save button to complete the installation.
• The page will now appear in your course navigation menu.
