Overview
This guide explains how to check and update the visibility settings of your Channels within MediaSpace to ensure they are shared appropriately.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Access the Channel Management Tools

Log in to MediaSpace:

Navigate to the Channel Management Page:
- In MediaSpace, locate and open the Channel for which you are an owner / manager.
- Click the Channel Actions icon in the top-right corner of the channel page and select Edit.

Edit the Publishing Status of a Channel
- Scroll down and review the current setting under “Publish Status.”
- Open: All logged in users can view and contribute content (contribution is not allowed for viewer-role users).
Restricted: All logged in users can view content and only channel members can contribute content.
Private: Only channel members can view and contribute content.
Shared Repository: Only channel members can view and contribute content; Content may be published to other channels, according to publishing entitlements.
- To update the visibility:
- Select the appropriate option (Open, Restricted, Private, or Shared Repository).
- Click the “Save” button to apply the changes.
