Note: At times, we may want to collaborate and/or share files/folders from our OneDrive. Below will guide you through this process and settings.
1. Find the file/folder within your OneDrive and right-click and select share
2. Click the disc cog next to Copy Link.
3. Here you can see we have many options. For, “The Link works for” there are 4 options. I would rarely use the first option Anyone. That would mean anyone with a link can access it. The two options I would focus on would be, People in Colorado School of Mines and People you choose. For the People of Colorado School of Mines, this would be an option to share broadly with everyone at Mines. People you choose would be suitable for keeping only those who need access, gets the access. This can include people outside of Mines
4. For “more settings”, there is a section for what the people with the link can do. The above shows those options. There is also an option to set an expiration date for the link to expire. After you make your choices from step 3 & 4, select Apply.
5. Add in the users who you want to provide access to. You can either send an email or copy out the link to place into a chat or email.
6. At any time, you can follow step 1 to return to this screen and modify access. Click the lock key.
7. Within the access manager, you can navigate through the options to remove access, grant new access, or even delete links you previously set up
